Retirement and Senior Housing in Calvert County

County government has been slow to build apartment housing for seniors. Those apartments that are available have waiting lists for up to two years.

Some private developers have built apartments and condos, and there is a recent trend for developers to build retirement communities of units for sale to high income retirees.
