Annual Pet Walk Fundraiser

to build a shelter for the Calvert Animal Wellfare League

The event was held annually at the Annmarie Sculpture Garden, Solomon Island on the last Sunday in October. There was more socializing in the staging area than walking the wooded paths. The Pet Walks were so successful that CAWL finally built and operate their shelter in Prince Frederick. But there are no more pet walks now. Too bad; they were a lot of fun.

There were special demonstrations by the area search and rescue teams and the Sheriff's K9 corps, groomers, and vets. CAWL's adoptable pets were also available.

Going and coming...

resting and visiting...

Although most of the pets were dogs, one bunny attended.

There were prizes and awards, an obedience demonstration, and a search and rescue demonstration. It was a beautiful, crisp day and everybody had a great time—especially the pets.
