King's Landing Park

On the shores of the Patuxent River, King's Landing Park is managed by the Calvert County parks department. The Park is closed in Winter except for weekends.

200-foot fishing pier with access for canoe and kayaks.

 

Camping for scout and youth groups

Steel & flint, the hard way to build a fire

Picnics

Patuxent Hall for indoor parties and meetings, and the Park Ranger's office

Swimming Pool

Nature Trails through woods and meadows with a boardwalk through the marshes along Cocktown Creek. See wildlife, wildflowers, and the bald eagle family.

Environmental Education Program (CHESPAX) integrated with classroom curriculum.

The planned horse back riding school has yet to materialize.
