One of the early waterfront communities of summer cottages and cabins, Dares Beach now consists of year-round up-scale residences for Washington commuters.
Some of the original cottages and cabins remain, but have been upgraded for year-round living.
A small flock of Canada geese also decided this was a nice place to live and no longer migrate.
