Coming Soon: The New Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter

Calvert County will abandon the regional Tri-County Shelter in Hughesville to build a new shelter in partnership with the Calvert Industrial Park, a subsidiary of Merrick Properties. The new shelter is named in honor of Linda Kelley for her long advocacy for animal welfare.

The County Commissioners announced the plans to build the new animal shelter at 5055 Hallowing Point Road.
